Types of tickets and their prices 


An e-ticket system has been introduced for public transport in Liepāja, which means that passengers first need to obtain a ticket identification method – either the mobile app "Liepājas pilsēta" or an e-card. In addition, a single-ride ticket can be purchased from the vehicle driver using a bank card (tickets cannot be purchased with cash from the driver).

Passengers using the "Liepājas pilsēta" mobile app can purchase an e-ticket. To begin, the passenger must download the "Liepājas pilsēta" app to their smartphone and complete the registration. After registration, the user is assigned an identification number and must provide a payment method. Once these steps are completed, the e-ticket section becomes available for purchasing tickets. Passengers must validate the e-ticket before each ride by scanning the QR code in the ticket validator.

Obtaining an identification method –

  1. The "Liepājas pilsēta" mobile app can be downloaded on Android or Apple devices.

  2. A personalized e-card can be purchased once at the agency located at Peldu Street 5, and it costs €3.50.

  3. A non-personalized e-card can be purchased at the agency on Peldu Street 5, the Liepāja Tourism Information Office at Rožu Square 5/6, or at the Liepāja Bus Station ticket office at Rīgas Street 71 or at the Liepaja regional hospital store SIA Grobinas Ziedi Slimnīcas Sreet 25. It also costs €3.50.

Once the "Liepāja city" mobile app or e-card is obtained, it is possible to purchase tickets in the e-system of transport tickets or at sales points.

Tickets for specific number of trips:

  • 40 min. time ticket purchased in advance - 1,00 EUR
  • ticket for a single ride purchased from the driver of the vehicle - 1,50 EUR
  • 40 min. time 10 (ten) tickets - 9,00 EUR

Long-term tickets:

  • one day (24 h) long-term ticket - 3,00 EUR
  • three day (72 h) long-term ticket - 6,00 EUR
  • five day (120 h) long-term ticket - 9,00 EUR
  • thirty (30) day long-term ticket - 30,00 EUR
  • thirty (30) day long-term ticket only on business days - 24,00 EUR
  • ninety (90) day long-term ticket  - 75,00 EUR
  • year (365) day long-term ticket - 280 EUR
